Interact with AccessibleApple using your mail client

We at Accessible Apple are committed to making the best experience for everyone no matter their favorite way of interacting with online communities. For your convenience we have set up a system which allows people to interact with the Accessible Apple community forums directly via your favorite E-mail program. In the below guide we’ll cover everything you need to start benefitting from this integration. We assume that you are already registered on our site. If you haven’t done so please come back and register before proceeding with this guide.

Use your account E-mail address when posting

As said before you need to first have an account on our site before you can send E-mails. When you create your account you are required to supply an E-mail address. One of the reasons of this requirement is the fact that after successful registration you will be able to send e-mails to especially designated mailboxes allowing you to create topics with E-mail directly… It is especially important that you use the same E-mail address to create topics as otherwise your Maill will not go through

Replying to existing topics via E-mail

You can reply to existing topics you have created yourself or followed. In order to do so please do the following

  1. Enter your user profile. This is a button at the top of the screen. The button is displaying your user name.
  2. Click on “Preferences” then on “E-mails”.
  3. Ensure that you allow the system to send you E-mails when you are quoted or replied to.
  4. Go to a topic that interests you.
  5. At the bottom of the screen click on the “normal” button to reveal the topic tracking settings.
  6. Change this to “watching”. This way you will get an E-mail if a new message is posted to a given topic.
  7. Wait for someone to reply. When you get an E-mail just reply to it and your reply will be automatically associated with your Accessible Apple account.
